Tax Certificates

Beginning on or before June 1st, the law requires the Tax Collector to hold a Tax Certificate Sale. 

A tax certificate, when purchased, becomes an enforceable first lien against the real estate. The sale allows citizens to buy certificates by paying the owed tax debt.

You may renew your registration up to 90 days prior to the expiration date.

Vehicles are registered on a staggered basis according to the registered owner’s birth month. The registration expires at midnight on the owner’s birthday.
