Press Release – Partnering with Florida Department of Health for Better Service

Martin County Tax Collector, Ruth “Ski” Pietruszewski, is proud to announce the Tax Collector Office’s recent partnership with the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics that will allow Florida-born citizens to acquire a certified copy of their birth certificate at the Tax Collector’s office.

“This partnership adds another level of convenience for our taxpayers and since a birth certificate is one of the items needed to obtain a driver license or identification card, the partnership makes our DL/ID issuance process easier and faster. If a Florida-born citizen does not have a birth certificate, we will have the ability to issue them one on the spot and not have to send them away to get one,” commented Ruth Pietruszewski. “A win-win for everyone. Implementation of this partnership will substantially improve our service to the public.”

We will begin this new service at the Palm City Branch office, 3001 S.E. Martin Downs Blvd, Palm City, FL 34990.
